For up to date information go to the Collections tab on our website: https://benicialibrary.org/collections/state-park-passes
There is also a pamphlet with the pass indicating parks that are NOT participating in the program and not accepting the pass for entry.
- We have 6 passes
* They are kept in a free-standing plastic holder near the Thing Library binder, with extra pamphlets.
* Are not holdable, not renewable and must be returned to the front desk.
* Check out for 7 days - make certain checkout is not 3 weeks.
* Only one pass per card holder - good for a vehicle of up to 9 passengers.
* Check out procedure:
* Patron requests a State Park Pass.
* Check the plastic holder to see if we have any passes available. If not, refer the patron to the State Park backpacks and/or to check in at a later time for available passes.
* Use our barcode to checkout as usual, and remind the patron to return it at the desk.
Return procedure:
- Return using our barcode, not the State Park barcode
If it does not have a hold
- Put it back in the plastic holder.
If it does have a hold
- Put the hold slip with the pass, add a pamphlet, and put it on the ILL/LINK+ shelf at the desk.
