State Park Passes

For up to date information go to the Collections tab on our website: California Park Pass program https://benicialibrary.org/collections/state-park-passes

There is also a pamphlet with the pass indicating parks that are NOT participating in the program and not accepting the pass for entry.

  • We have 6 passes

* They are kept in a free-standing plastic holder near the Thing Library binder, with extra pamphlets.
* Are not holdable, not renewable and must be returned to the front desk.
* Check out for 7 days - make certain checkout is not 3 weeks.
* Only one pass per card holder - good for a vehicle of up to 9 passengers.

* Check out procedure:
* Patron requests a State Park Pass.
* Check the plastic holder to see if we have any passes available. If not, offer to place a pass on hold for the patron.
* Use our barcode to checkout as usual, and remind the patron to return it at the desk.

Return procedure:

  • Return using our barcode, not the State Park barcode

If it does not have a hold

  • Put it back in the plastic holder.

If it does have a hold

  • Put the hold slip with the pass, add a pamphlet, and put it on the ILL/LINK+ shelf at the desk.

For information: Solano Park Passes guidelines.

  • Circulate for 3 weeks
  • Allow holds (for Solano County patrons only)
  • Must pick up at their branches.
  • Even though a Benicia patron can place a hold with a Solano branch pick up, DO NOT do it as patron will not be allowed to check out.
  • No renewals
  • Don't float
  • One checkout per patron
