Replacing Damaged Items

If a patron has damaged an item and asks if they can buy a new one to replace it, the answer is we do not take replacement copies. The money from the lost and paid fee for the damaged (or lost) item goes to purchase another item, which may or may not be another copy of the damaged item. We may not need another copy of it.

If the item belongs to a SPLASH partner library, a LINK+ library, or an ILL library, do not take a replacement copy. Any replacements must be authorized by the owning library on a case-by-case basis. See Julia Butler or a Senior Librarian.
