Student of BUSD are automatically issued One Cards at the beginning of the school year. One Card numbers can be used as Library cards in SPLASH. What can be checked out is different however.

Students can show us their Student ID card or provide us with their Student/Lunch/Chromebook number.
To check out at the Desk:
- Type BEN and then scan student ID card.
- They may check out up to 10 items in the following formats:

- books
- audio books.
- non-fiction DVDs (which have spine labels with Dewey numbers)

If you get an error message, check the format of what they are trying to check out.
To use the self-check machines:
- Tap Checkout.
- Tap Enter Account Number Button
- Tap All Caps button (Triangle with line under it) and type in BEN and student id number.
- Pin is birth month and day in mmdd format.
- Check out items normally by setting them one by one on the RFID pad.
They may use our databases, except Discover & Go.
Students may have full service library cards also.
Remember patrons 15 and older must have either their ID or library card to check out at the desk.
