Building related emergencies fall into two categories (especially pertinent to weekends or evenings)
- Immediate concerns (i.e. flooding)
For immediate concerns (that do not involve police or fire) find the Parks & Community Services Call Out List. It is located in the "red" binder at the Customer Service Desk currently at the left hand Ref computer shelving. Look for BUILDING MAINTENANCE on the left column and find phone numbers for the library's maintenance staff as well as the Primary and Secondary maintenance staff's cell and home numbers.
- Concerns that can wait until the next working day (i.e. lighting issues)
For building concerns that can wait, leave an out of order sign if applicable (if it is equipment). Indicate what is wrong and what you did. Leave the bottom portion of the out of order sign on the white board located on the safe door in the staff room. TY is the usual contact person and you can leave a phone message for her as an additional backup, but in the event she is on vacation, etc. the white board on the safe door in the staff room is the best place.
