Computer Passes
Creating passes for the public computers
- Open Firefox
- Open a new tab
- Click on Pre-Book tab in the line below that
- Enter library email and our password (see red binder, tab 8, if you don't remember)
- Click OK
- Click Temporary Barcodes
- Enter 10 for number of passes needed/patrons
- Check box for PINs (each pass needs a PIN)
- Click ADD
- Copy card number and pin for the passes generated (hyperlinks do not work)
- Go to desktop
- Open Excel spreadsheet TempCards.xlxs
- Paste into row 5
- Click OK
- Highlight all the cells with pass info
- Boldface the font
- Increase the font to 18 and use Times New Roman
- Highlight from "Benicia Public Library" down to the first line of information (row 5)
- File
- Select the Star Cutter - READY printer
- Where is says Print Active Sheet, click and select Print Selection
- Delete row 5 on the spreadsheet.
- Repeat from step 18 above until you are through all ten entries
- Close Excel, do not save the document changes
